Where to write

What to send
- A correction. Name the article and the specific sentence, and point at a source if you have one.
- A question about the physics. If an explanation did not land, that is usually a problem with the explanation.
- A topic request. Mechanisms and failure modes are in scope; products, prices and local rules are not.

What we cannot help with
We do not design or specify systems, size equipment for a particular building, diagnose an installation remotely, or recommend products, brands or installers. Those need someone who can see the site, carry professional liability for the advice, and know the local rules — none of which is us.
We also cannot answer questions about prices, incentives or regulations in a specific country, for the reasons set out in our editorial policy.
Response times
Corrections are handled first and are usually acknowledged quickly. Questions about an explanation are answered when we can. Topic requests are read but not answered individually; they shape the publishing queue instead.
What happens to your message
The details you send are used to answer you and for nothing else. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list, and we do not pass messages to anyone. The full picture is in the privacy policy.
